What is RGB split and chromatic aberration?
RGB split offsets the red, green and blue channels so edges fringe into coloured ghosts, the classic glitch and 3D look. Chromatic aberration bends those channels apart near the edges of the frame like a cheap lens. Both are separate post-effects in ASCII Magic with their own offset controls, and they stack with the Glitch and Scanline effects.
How do I get a VHS glitch look?
For a VHS effect, combine the Scanline post-effect with a light RGB Split and a touch of Glitch slice displacement. The scanlines add the worn analogue-tape texture while the channel split gives that tracking-error colour fringe. It works on photos and video, then export as PNG, GIF or MP4.
Can I control the glitch intensity?
Yes. Each post-effect has its own slider. Glitch controls how far slices are displaced, RGB Split and Chromatic Aberration set the channel offset, and Scanlines set line intensity. Everything updates live so you can go from a subtle glitch filter to a heavy datamosh look.
