Terms of Service

By using ASCII Magic ("the service", "the tool", "this site") at ascii-magic.com, you agree to these terms. Plain English version: use the tool, keep what you make, don't break the law, don't break the tool.

1. The service

ASCII Magic is a free, browser-based image and video stylizer. It runs entirely client-side using HTML5 Canvas. No account is required and no images or videos you upload ever leave your device.

2. Your content, your rights

You retain all rights to any image, video, or output you create with ASCII Magic. We do not claim ownership over your uploads or the styled output. The renderer runs on your device — we never see, store, or transmit your files.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any source material you upload (your own work, public domain, licensed, fair use, etc.).

3. Acceptable use

Don't use ASCII Magic to:

• Produce or distribute content that violates someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Create or distribute illegal content (child sexual abuse material, content inciting violence, etc.).
• Attempt to overload, attack, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Misrepresent ASCII Magic output as something other than what it is.

4. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and rendering correctly, but we don't guarantee uptime, accuracy, fitness for any particular purpose, or that it will work for every browser/device combination.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creator of ASCII Magic is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
